Allie Mae Underwood

Ms. Allie Mae (Swor) Underwood, age 97, of Murray, Kentucky, died Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Paris Healthcare in Paris, Tennessee.

Ms. Underwood was born in Puryear, Tennessee on December 22, 1918 to the late Elroy "Roy" Swor and Goldie (Crank) Swor. Ms. Underwood attended the Glendale Road Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Underwood was preceded in death by two sisters, Itha (Swor) Parks and Annie Frances (Swor) Jobe; her step-father, Vernon Cole; and by one step-brother, Norville S. Cole.

Ms. Underwood is survived by two nephews, Glenn A. Jobe and wife Shirley of Schaumburg, Illinois and David Lynn Parks of Houston, Texas; one niece, Burna Dean (Parks) Schroader of Dexter, Kentucky; five great nieces and nephews; as well as several great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with David Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until funeral hour.
