Anita Gail French, age 79, passed away peacefully in her residence on August 5, 2026.

Anita was born on July 1, 1947, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Charles Warren and Carmen McKimmins. From an early age, Anita carried a vibrant enthusiasm for life that touched everyone around her.

Above all else, Anita was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the centerpiece of her world, and she showered them with unconditional love and joy.

She leaves behind a cherished legacy as the beloved mother of four children, grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of seven, each of whom she loved with all her heart.

Anita had a deep passion for life’s simple and joyful pleasures. She was an avid fan of movies and music, and she found great happiness in traveling and exploring new places.

Her spirit of adventure and love for her family were beautifully reflected in her final journey—a 422-mile road trip from central Missouri to Murray, Kentucky, where she relocated to be closer to those she held most dear. Though her time in Kentucky was brief before the Good Lord took her home, her family treasures the memories made during her final days together.

She will be profoundly missed, forever remembered, and dearly cherished in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

There will be no public service or visitation held at this time.
