Ms. Anita Butterworth Thurman, age 64, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Friday, October 9, 2020 at her daughters' home in Paris, Tennessee.
Ms. Thurman was born in Sturgis, Kentucky on July 9, 1956 to the late Fred Butterworth and Jean (Bridges) Butterworth. Ms. Thurman retired as a sales associate with the Murray Wal-Mart pharmacy department. She was a member of the Westfork Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Thurman was preceded in death by her step-mother, Martha Butterworth; and by a step-brother, Howard Colley.
Ms. Thurman is survived by one daughter, Susan Russell and husband Jason of Paris, Tennessee; two step-sisters, Anita Smith and husband Kenny and Shelby Boyer and husband Earl all of Mayfield, Kentucky; one brother, Eddie Perdue and wife Debbie of Arkansas; one grandchild, William Russell of Paris ,Tennessee; as well as a sister-in-law, Doris Colley of Mayfield, Kentucky.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Bro. Jamie Hughes and Bro. Randy Kuykendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Goshen United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
