Mrs. Anna Mae Nance, age 89, of Murray, Kentucky died on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Nance was born in Murray, Kentucky on October 12, 1926 to the late Bob Hubbs and Helen (Hargrove) Hubbs. Mrs. Nance retired from the Murray City School System as a cafeteria worker and cook. She was a member of the West Fork Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Nance was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Thomas and Ladeen Spann.
Mrs. Nance is survived by her husband Shirley Lee Nance of Murray, Kentucky to whom she married on September 29, 1945 in Murray, Kentucky; one daughter, Elizabeth Smith and husband Terry of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Steven Nance of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Jimmie Norsworthy of Mayfield, Kentucky; one brother, William Hubbs of Murray, Kentucky; one grandchild, Brian Smith and wife Erin of Murray, Kentucky; and one great grandchild, Dillon Smith of Murray, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Carter and Rev. Randy Kuykendall officiating. Burial will follow in Story's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 prior to the funeral service from 10:00 a.m. until funeral hour (12:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.
