Anna Faye Miller Taylor passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side at Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, KY on March 20, 2025. She was born at home in Pontiac, Michigan April 3, 1929, to the late Carmon Lamott Miller and Lyda Mae (Butterworth) Miller. She graduated high school in Lynn Grove, KY where she acted in several plays. Also preceding her in death are her husband, Tommy D Taylor whom she married February 14, 1948, one son, Gary Taylor, two brothers and their wives: Gene (Pat) Miller, Jerry (Becky) Miller, two sisters, Jeannette (Will Ed) Rogers and Sandra Rogers.
She loved the Lord, her family and friends. She was known for her hospitality, enjoyed traveling, gardening, and playing bridge. Her keen eye for fashion and warm personality made her a trusted advisor to generations of shoppers at The Place. She was a member of the University Church of Christ and attended Williams Chapel Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Taylor, son, David (Jennifer Bell) Taylor, daughter-in-law, Peggy Taylor, 13 grandchildren, Serenity (Joe) Carr and Maya (Carlton) Pote of Austin, TX, Alyssa (Stephen) Brown of Asheville, NC, John (Christine) Taylor of Highland, IL, Greg (Kristin) Taylor, Charles (Angela) Taylor, Zak (Alysha) Taylor, Camee (Grant) Rudolph, Zori (Jeremy) Curd, Quinnen and Izaiah Taylor all of Murray, KY and Quavie Taylor and Malik Taylor of Louisville, KY.
Also surviving are 26 great grandchildren: Della Carr and Daisy Pote of Austin, TX, Emaline and Hannah Brown of Asheville, NC, Mae Rose and William Taylor of Highland, IL, Cate, Ben, Rachel, Elijah, Ethne, Evelyn, Kieran, Charlie, Olivia, Gwen, Rowan, Leo, and Alex Taylor, Annalee, Wyatt and Reese Rudolph, Mila, James, Jase, and Sosie Curd and brothers-in-law Glenn Rogers and Dwain (Mary) Taylor all of Murray, KY. In addition, she is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with her grandson, Charles Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 2025, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
