Mrs. Anna Jean Usrey, age 84, of Murray, Kentucky died on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Usrey was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on January 30, 1932 to the late Orfield Byrd and Jewell Windsor Byrd. She was a salesperson at Bright's and was also employed by Fisher Price. She had the distinction of being the oldest female and longest current member of the West Fork Baptist Church, and was a member of the Median Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her husband Alvin, to whom she was married on January 20, 1951 in Stella, Kentucky, one daughter Janet Arnold and husband Dale of Almo, Kentucky, one son Billy Usrey and wife Cynthia Pritchard-Usrey of Raleigh, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Lisa Bell and husband Paul of Lone Oak, Kentucky, Kelly Jones and husband Nathan of Almo, Kentucky, Jennifer Kirksey and husband Geoff of Lone Oak, Kentucky, and Jon Usrey and wife Joelle of Rougement, North Carolina; also surviving are eight grandchildren, Bayan Thomas, Chase Sudduth, Ian Jones, Dierk Usrey, Nikolai Usrey, Anna Kate Jones, Sarah Bell, and Olivia Kirksey.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Kukyendall and Bro. Brett Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the West Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
