Anne Walker Brinkley

Mrs. Anne Walker Brinkley, age 86, of Hazel, Kentucky, died Friday, September 02, 2011 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Ky.
Mrs. Brinkley was born Jan. 17, 1925 in Calloway Co. Ky. She retired from the Calloway Co. School system after 32 years teaching at Hazel, New Concord, and East Elementary. Mrs. Brinkley was a member of the Green Plain Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, John W. Brinkley II of Murray, Ky., whom she married July 26, 1953 in Calloway Co., Ky; daughter, Melissa Berhow and husband Eric of Hazel, Ky.; son, John W. Brinkley III and wife Lisa, of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Erica Berhow and Paul Berhow and wife Lisa, all of Hazel, Ky.; one great grandchild, Gunner Berhow of Hazel, Ky,. Sister in law, Faustine Walker of Murray, Ky., also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles C. and Azzie Butterworth Walker, three sisters, Elizabeth Copeland, Charlene Curd, Nelle Scroggins, and one brother, Hollis Walker.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, September 4, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, with Virgil Hale and Tip Curd officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Plain Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 from 4-8 at the funeral home.
