Mr. Odell Lamb age 95, of Murray, Kentucky, died Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Paris Healthcare and Rehab in Paris, Tennessee.
Mr. Lamb was born September 8, 1919 in Calloway County, Kentucky, to the late Robert Tilman Lamb and Ollie Simmons Lamb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae Giles Lamb, sister, Hazel Buchanan, brothers, James Lamb, and George Richard "Pete" lamb.
Mr. Lamb was retired as a press operator for Tappan, and was a farmer. He was an Army veteran of WWII, and a member of the New Providence Church of Christ.
Survivors include daughter, Kay Ehrhardt and husband Al of Paducah, Kentucky; two sons, Danny Lamb and wife Sue Ellen of Franklin, Tennessee, and Bobby Joe Smith and wife Peggy of Hazel, Kentucky; also seven grandchildren, Justin Lamb and wife Sarah, Ben Lamb, Cameron Cottingham and wife Laura, Courtney McCormack and husband Greg, Dana Pea and wife Laura, Melissa Price and husband DeWayne, and Josh Smith and wife Jaclynn; nine great grandchildren, Drew Lamb, Zach Lamb, Adri Cottingham, Dalton Pea, Layne Pea, Dillon Garland, Tyler Garland, and Madison Price.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Jeremiah Tatum will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 5-7 p.m., at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
