Aubrey Stom

Mr. Aubrey Stom, age 84, of Almo, Ky, died Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Lake Way Nursing Home in Benton, Ky. Mr. Stom was born in McCracken County, Ky on December 10, 1929 to the late Jesse and Tennie B. Thompson Stom. Mr. Stom worked for the Murray Division of Tappan and retired as a machine operator from Briggs and Stratton. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, and was also a member of Owens Chapel Baptist Church and a member of the Blood River Baptist Builders.
Mr. Stom is survived by three Sons, Bro. James "Jimmy" Stom and wife Sally of Benton, Bro. Darvin Stom and wife Vivian of Smithland, Ky., and David Stom and wife Tammy of Murray. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Jamie Stom and wife Katie of Benton, Shawn Stom and wife Jennifer of Greenville, S.C., Travis Stom of Smithland, Ky., Crystal Manus and husband Marc, Josh McWherter and wife Tosha, and Jordan McWherter, all of Murray, Ky., Jeremy Stom and wife Nikki of Kirksey, Jill Madding and husband Dale of Mayfield, Keith Stom of Base City, Michigan, and Paula Stom of Murray. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, Breanna, Zachary, and Chaz Manus, Ty, Zoe, and Bo Stom, Tray and Avery Madding, Conner and Nate Stom, Kaelyn and Ziley McWherter, and Kensley Bradley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lindon "Linda" Stom, one daughter, Deborah Linn McWherter Kirksey, and one brother, Thomas Stom.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Wells officiating, and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill funeral home.
