Barbara Rhodes Groening

Mrs. Barbara A Rhodes Groening, age 74 of Bellbrook, Ohio formerly of New Concord, Kentucky died Friday, December 5, 2014.
She was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church; she was a member of the New Concord Homemakers; and was an Animal Advocate.
She was born in Detroit Michigan on December 18, 1939 to the late David P and Florence Etmus Grossman Rhodes. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Jack Groening who died May 26, 2000; one daughter, Bobbie Jo Komisar; one sister, Sandra Rhodes also precede her in death.
Mrs. Groening is survived by five daughters, Mary Berglund and husband Jan of Jacksonville Florida, Shirley Disch and husband David of Xenia, Ohio, Dolores Hoggard and husband Ross of St. John, Florida, Nancy Morah and husband Matthew of Garden City, Michigan ; four sons, Martin Groening and wife Linda of Chelsea, Michigan, John Groening of Howell, Michigan, Carl Groening of St. Petersburg, Florida and Michael Synder of Texas; one brother, Daniel T. Rhodes and wife Valarie of Rapid City, South Dakota; twenty grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev Tim Escue will officiate with burial to follow in the New Concord Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am till funeral home Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the funeral home.
