Mr. Barry James, age 57, of Murray, Kentucky died on Tuesday, September 01, 2015 at his home after an extended illness.
Barry was born December 4, 1957 in Murray, Kentucky, to the late Hafford and Virginia Parrish James. In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by sister, Lagena Jo Richard.
Barry was a former Owner and operator of the World of Sound, Barry James Electronics, and Cosmo from 2010-2012. He was also a former president and member of the Murray Moose Lodge. Barry was a well-known Drummer, playing for numerous bands.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy James of Murray, Kentucky, they married September 6, 2003 in Murray, Kentucky; daughter, Emilee James and fiancé Jeff Whitehead of Paris, Tennessee, step daughter, Kristin Potts of Murray, Kentucky; two step sons, Jeremiah Potts of Orlando, Florida, and Bobby Potts of Murray, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Lane Martin Whitehead of Paris, Tennessee, and Abriella Lanier of Murray, Kentucky.
A celebration of Barry's life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
