Becky Travis

Mrs. Becky Travis (Miss Becky), 91, of Murray, KY died January 24, 2013 at Spring Creek Health Care. She was born July 6, 1921 in Fredonia, KY to the late Steve MiIler Jones and Anna Cash Jones. Miss Becky was a caregiver to many. She loved children and taught 1st grade Sunday school at First Baptist Church for 57 years.
Miss Becky lived the remainder of her years at Spring Creek Health Care where she was called "High Tech Momma" due to her computer skills. She was loved and well cared for by all the staff there.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Travis was preceded in death by her husband, Bay Travis.
Mrs. Travis is survived by two children, Carol Neale and her husband Jerry of Huntsville, AL and Barry Travis of Murray, KY; five grandchildren, Michelle Putman and her husband John Putman, Todd Neale, Valerie Whatley and her husband Chuck Whatley, Trent Travis and his wife Kela Travis and Trey Travis; five great-grandchildren, Hayley Sanderson, Ethan Sanderson, Ella Whatley, Hannah Whatley and Nash Travis; also survived by her very special "guardian angel" Anita Thornton.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Kerry Lambert and Rev. Boyd Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the funeral home.
