Bertha Faye Koertge

Mrs. Bertha Faye Koertge, age 91 of Benton, Kentucky, formerly of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, died Monday, February 20, 2017 at her daughter's home.
Mrs. Koertge was born November 16, 1925 in Clay City, Illinois to the late John Frederick Koehler and Anna Myra Blanche Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Allen Burton, second husband, Bob Koertge; son, Mike Burton; sister, Idarea Werner; brothers, Bob and Kenneth Koehler.
Mrs. Koertge was retired from Champion Labs, and was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem, Illinois.
Survivors include two daughters, Victoria Lynn Kirk and husband Bill of Benton, Kentucky, Cynthia Lurea Hanks and husband Ken of Tucson, Arizona; five grandchildren, Angie Meadows, Allen Burton, Nick Burton, Ross Hanks and Drew Hanks; three great grandchildren, Joey Crawford, Jennifer Anderson, and Cheyanne Burton; three great great grandchildren, Cash and Myles Anderson, and Josie Crawford.
Private services for Mrs. Koertge will be held at a later date.
