Mrs. Beth Page Belote, age 91, of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at her home.
She was born in Cuba, Kentucky on December 21, 1921 to the late Dr. M.W and Era Maud Hammon Page. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Jack M. Belote; also one sister, Hattie Glenn; two brothers, George L. Page and Ted Page.
She was a retired French teacher from Mayfield High School; a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Murray were she served as an Elder; she was a member of Presbyterian Women; member of the Dorothy McKenzie Circle; member of the Dorothy Moore Circle; member of the PEO International Philanthropic Organization; member of Delta Kappa Gamma International Education Organization; member of the Murray Rose & Garden Club; Charter member of Murray-Calloway County Country Club; she was a graduate of Bethel Women's College in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, and earned her Master's & Rank I Certification at Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky.
She is survived by three daughters, Marion O'Rourke and husband Pete of Murray, Kentucky, Jane Spadafino and husband Nick of Jackson, New Jersey, Emily Gilliam and husband Bob of Henderson, Kentucky; one son, Dr. John Belote of Syracuse, New York; two sisters-in-law, Betty Cook and husband George of Mayfield, Kentucky, Faye Page of Cuba, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Peter O'Rourke and wife Cristina, Andrew O'Rourke, Bethany O'Rourke O'Neill and husband John, Steven Vito Spadafino and wife Laura, Nicole Spadafino, Jennifer Spadafino Rasmussen and husband Jamie, Robert Gilliam and Greg Belote; seven great grandchildren, Liam and Quinlan O'Rourke, Matthew, Emma & Carmen O'Neill, Jocelyn & Vito Spadafino.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church of Murray. Dr. Rev. Ann Marie Montgomery will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 pm Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
