Betty Youlonda Grooms

Mrs. Betty Youlonda Grooms, age 85, of Hazel, Kentucky died on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.
Mrs. Grooms was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on May 18, 1933 to the late Hafford Cooper and Zitell (Morton) Cooper. Mrs. Grooms was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church and the Women of Hope.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Grooms was preceded in death by her husband, James Grooms; one great grandson, Aaron Foutch; and by two brothers, Lowell Cooper and Ted Cooper.
Mrs. Grooms is survived by one daughter, Beverly Garrison and husband Michael of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Linda McCallon of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Larry Foutch and wife Rhonda of Hazel ,Kentucky, Tracy Williams and husband Keith of Murray, Kentucky and Courtney McKinney and husband Kyle of Almo, Kentucky; 10 great-grandchildren, Amberly Foutch, Brittany Inman, Brooke Foutch, Brandon Foutch, Austin Williams, Mackenzie Williams, Cole Williams, Tayten Williams, Gage McKinney and Hugh McKinney; as well as three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Cunningham and Bro. Carl McNeil will officiate. Burial will follow in the South Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
