Betty Underhill

Mrs. Betty June Colson Underhill, age 78, of Murray, Kentucky died on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.

Mrs. Underhill was born on September 9, 1939 in Murray, Kentucky to the late Eury Colson and Ruby Kirk Colson. Mrs. Underhill was homemaker and formerly employed by Boone's Laundry. She was also a member of the Faith Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Lynn Colson and Terry Lynn Colson.

Survivors include her husband, James B. Underhill to whom she married on September 1, 1956 in Murray, Kentucky; three sons, Tony Underhill and wife Kathy of Dexter, Kentucky, Terry Underhill and wife Robbin of Murray, Kentucky, and James T. (Timmy) Underhill of Murray, Kentucky; five sisters, Edna Underhill of Murray, Kentucky, Wanda Craig of Buchanan, Tennessee, Patsy Hutson of Murray, Kentucky, Maxine Woods and husband Paul of Murray, Kentucky, and Maddie Flatt and husband Tim of Murray, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Tony (T.J.) Underhill and wife Kim, Harlan Underhill and wife Sarah, Shy Maddox and husband Jon, Arista Wilkins, Jamie Underhill and wife April, Christian Underhill, Nathan Brandon, and Tessa Marshall; also eighteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elm Grove Cemetery. Bro. Jimmy Oliver will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
