Mrs. Betty Williams, age 76, of Murray, Kentucky, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Murray Calloway County Hospital
Mrs. Williams was born February 23, 1937 in Calloway Co., Ky., to the late Tannie D. and Obera Jones Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billie E. Williams, two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Watson, and Katherine Outland, two brothers, James S. Johnson, and Joe Pat Johnson.
Mrs. Williams was a homemaker, and baby sitter, and was a member of the Coles Campground United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Tina Ammons and husband Jeff of Murray, Ky., one son, Steve Williams and wife Linda of Almo, Ky., sister, Wilma Wiser and husband Ed of Murray, two brothers, Charles D. Johnson of Murray, and Hugh "Shorty" Johnson and wife Pam of Murray, two grandchildren, Danielle Williams of Murray, and Ashley Williams and Chris Rogers of Murray, three great grandchildren, Allyssa Williams, Allayna Williams, and Trevor Donelson all of Murray.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 20, 2014 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Larry England will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 5-9 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
