Mrs. Bevelyn Rachel Rodgers, age 90, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Lake Way Nursing and Rehabilitation in Benton, Kentucky.
Mrs. Rodgers was born in Calloway County, Kentucky, on September 21, 1933, to the late Reed Brandon and Nonie (Hill) Brandon. Mrs. Rodgers worked at Interstate Filter in Stella, Kentucky before her retirement and also worked for Jim Kelly Farms for several years. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Rodgers; one sister, Reda Overby; and by two brothers, Joe and James Brandon.
Mrs. Rodgers is survived by one daughter, Kay Scarbrough of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Ken Norsworthy and wife Treasa of Collinsville, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Tina Myers and husband Steve, Lori Bailey and husband Gary, Cassie Cooper, Blu Norsworthy and wife Miranda, Will Norsworthy and wife Alyssa, KJ Rodgers, Austin Rodgers, and Keith Rodgers; as well as five great-grandchildren, Dreena Schotsch, Koby Springer, Emily Bailey, Riot Boggess, and Colton Norsworthy.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Tim Palmer officiating. Entombment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
