Bill Ed Hendon

Mr. Bill Ed Hendon, 86, of Murray, KY, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at 2:55 a.m. at the Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY.
Mr. Hendon was born in Calloway Co., KY on August 4, 1923, to the late Rudy Hendon and Cassie Allbritten Hendon. He was a dairy farmer, an Army veteran of WWII, and a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hendon was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Hendon.
Mr. Hendon is survived by his wife, Dorval Fields Hendon, of 63 years, married March 2, 1947; daughter, Marsha Dale and husband John of Murray; son Billy Hendon and wife Barbara of Murray; sister-in-law, Rachel Hendon of Murray; 4 grandchildren, Karen Weatherly and husband David of Paris, TN, Mike Dale of Clarksville, TN, Billy Joe Hendon and fiancée Hannah Johnson of Almo, KY, and Cassie Hendon of Murray; and 2 great-grandchildren, Luke and James Weatherly, both of Paris, TN.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2010, at The J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. John Dale will officiate. Burial will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the MCCH Hospice House Building Fund, 803 Poplar Street, Murray, KY 42071.
