Billy Ray Adams

Mr. Billy Ray Adams, 78, of Murray, Kentucky died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mr. Adams was born in Calloway County Kentucky on June, 14 1936 to the late Leston "Bill" Adams and Bruce Evone (Robertson) Adams. Mr. Adams was a retired farmer and truck driver. He was a member of the Dexter Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman.

In addition to his parents Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Adams, who died on December 14, 2009; two sisters, Shirley Ann Cowgill and Vicky Jo Bowen; and by two brothers, Bobby Dale Adams and Charles Wayne Adams.

Mr. Adams is survived by one daughter, Sheila Crouse of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Terry Adams and wife Susan of Dexter, Kentucky and Kevin Adams and wife Tina of Coldwater, Kentucky; one sister, Martha Lee Clark and husband Paul of Benton, Kentucky; one aunt, Freda Pendergrass of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Brad Cleaver and wife Angie of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Marsha Nyert of Murray, Kentucky, Terry Scott Adams and wife Nancy of Murray, Kentucky and Paige Adams of Coldwater, Kentucky; two step grandchildren, Tia and Micah Crouse both of Dexter, Kentucky; five great grandchildren, Macy Cleaver, Miles Cleaver, Brandon Nyert, Charlee Nyert and Ellie Grace Adams; and a special friend, Jane McCuiston.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. David Little and Bro. John Bedwell officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
