Mr. Billy Joe Wolford, age 84, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray.

Mr. Wolford was born on August 16, 1940, in Mississippi County, Missouri, to the late Aaron F. Wolford and Christine Cole Wolford. He was a retired farmer and truck driver, member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church, and Senior Adults Sunday School Class.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, LaWanda Jean Robertson Wolford; as well as three brothers, Wilbert Wolford, Marvin Wolford, and George Wolford. 

Survivors include one daughter, Trucy Steers (Ron) of Cairo, Illinois; two sons, Aaron Wolford (Tina) of Murray, Kentucky and Billy Wayne Wolford (Marsha) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy Wolford (Ashley), Jill Galliher, Joseph Lingle (Regina), Lexi Clark (Joel), Michael Wolford (Larrisa), Stephanie Wasuleski (Jared), Heather Bonner (Joseph), Dustin Wolford (Nikki), Chelsea Jones (Dimarko), and Keshea Wadkins; as well as 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Sugar Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Phillip Bazzell officiating. Burial will follow in the Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Sugar Creek Baptist Church.
