Bobby Gene Colson

Mr. Bobby Gene “Crab” Colson, 64, of Dexter, KY, died, Sunday, December 05, 2010 at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Colson was born in Cadiz, KY on September 6, 1946 to the late Calvert Colson and Ollie Scott Colson. Mr. Colson was a retired brick mason.
In addition to his parents Mr. Colson was preceded in death by one sister, Francis Colson.
Mr. Colson is survived by his wife, Beverly Haneline Colson, which were married on October 9, 1982 in Murray, KY; one daughter, Tammy Colson and fiancé’ Carl Williams of Bowling Green, KY; two step daughters, Lisa O’Bryan and Lori Johnson and husband Andy all of Dexter, KY; two sons, Robert Colson of Dexter, KY; Michael Todd Culp of Benton, KY; three sisters, Freda Elliott and husband David of Murray, KY; Rita Flood of Dexter, KY; Ava Peal and husband Ricky of Almo, KY; as well as six grandchildren, Jeremy O’Bryan, Alesha O’Bryan, Dugan Pearson, Madison Johnson all of Dexter, KY; Madison Grace Culp of Paducah, KY and Tyler Colson of Murray, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 5:00 -9:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in L.B.L at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brett Miles officiating.
