Bobby Glenn Farris

Mr. Bobby Glenn Farris, age 84, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray.

Mr. Farris was born on November 11, 1934 in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Asher Sherman Farris and Marell Dick Farris. He retired from Ellis Popcorn and was a member of the Cole Campground United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents Mr. Farris was preceded in death by seven brothers, Richard Farris, Leon Farris, Asher Farris, Bill Farris, Joe Farris, Rudd Farris and Dee Farris; as well as one sister, Mary Lou Sumner.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Lorene Farris of Murray, Kentucky, they married March 20, 1974 in Murray, Kentucky; one son, Scott DeSheilds of Murray, Kentucky; two nieces, Rhonda Peck and Glenda Fay Smith both of Murray, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Scott DeShields, Jr., Chelsea DeShields, Ally DeShields and Bobby DeShields; two great-grandchildren, Jax DeShields and Lilly DeShields; as well as two special nephews, Colton Stone and Braden Peck.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Burkeen officiating. Burial will follow in the Coles Campground Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
