Bobby Joe Smith

Mr. Bobby Joe Smith, age 73, of Hazel, Kentucky died on Monday, April 04, 2016 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Mr. Smith was born in Calloway County Kentucky on October 28, 1942 to the late Odell Lamb and Edna (Giles) Lamb. Mr. Smith worked at Tappan Manufacturing Company and later retired from Briggs and Stratton. He was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ and had served in the National Guard.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 53 years, Peggy Smith of Hazel, Kentucky; one daughter, Melissa Price and husband DeWayne of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; one son, Josh Smith and wife Jaclynn of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Kay Ehrhardt and husband Al of Reidland, Kentucky; one brother, Danny Lamb and wife Sue Ellen of Franklin, Tennessee; as well as four grandchildren, Dillon Garland, Tyler Garland, Madison Price and Ally Grace Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating and eulogy by Danny Lamb. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
