Mr. Bobby Wayne Thompson, age 75, of Benton, Kentucky died on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Thompson was born in Marshall County, Kentucky on April 11, 1940 to the late Roy Lee Thompson and Mamie Jane (Bohannon) Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a retired auto body mechanic. He was a member of the Church Grove Methodist Church and was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Wade Thompson; three brothers, Henry Taz Thompson, Hoy Lee Thompson and Rudy Paul Thompson; and one sister, Ruthie Pauline Thompson.
Mr. Thompson is survived by three daughters, Barbara Gayle King and husband Everett of Melbourne, Florida, Betty Jean Hester and husband David of Almo, Kentucky and Carolyn Michelle Singleton of Hardin, Kentucky; one sister, Margaret Ann Turner and husband Damon of Hardin, Kentucky; one brother, Curtis Roy Thompson and wife Katie of Mayfield, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
