Brad Barnett

Mr. John Bradley "Brad" Barnett, age 60, of Murray, Kentucky died at his home on Sunday, September 04, 2016.

Mr. Barnett was born in Highland Park, Michigan on February 26, 1956. Mr. Barnett was employed at Vanderbilt Chemical as a Production Superintendent before becoming diagnosed with ALS. Mr. Barnett was a 1975 graduate of Murray High School and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Mr. Barnett was preceded in death by his mother, Sondra (Covington) Barnett, who died on November 20, 2015.

He is survived by his wife, DeAnn (Thornton) Barnett of Murray, Kentucky, to whom he married on May 27, 1989; one daughter, Claire Covington (Barnett) Wyatt and husband Tanner of Murray, Kentucky; father, Max Bradley Barnett of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Beverly (Barnett) Nord and husband Paul of Henderson, Kentucky; one grandchild, Kason Dale Wyatt of Murray, Kentucky; father-in-law and mother-in-law Will D. and Anita Claire Thornton of Murray, Kentucky; two sister-in-law's, Becky (Thornton) Brown of Murray, Kentucky and Sheri (Thornton) Wright and husband James of Paducah, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Downs Thornton of Murray, Kentucky; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Murray, Kentucky with burial to follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Rev. Boyd Smith will officiate with Rev. Keith Inman, Gregg Garland and Zach Littlefield also participating in the service. Music service provided by Gary Vacca and Rayna Gordon. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Murray.
