Bronda "Sue" Hargis

Mrs. Bronda "Sue" Morton Hargis, age 86, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky died on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

Mrs. Hargis was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on December 22, 1929 to the late Melvin Morton and Eunice (Grogan) Morton. Mrs. Hargis before retiring was the secretary and office manager for Kentuckiana Yacht Sales. She was a member of the Briensburg Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Hargis was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hargis, who died in 2001; and by one son, Jerry W. Hargis who died in 1968.

Mrs. Hargis is survived by one daughter, Cindy Denfip and husband Eddie of Gilbertsville, Kentucky; one sister, Nancy Rhodes of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Jason Denfip and wife Krystal of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, Joseph Denfip and wife Stephanie of Metropolis, Illinois and Jacob Denfip and wife Jessica of Gilbertsville, Kentucky; as well as seven great grandchildren, Carson Denfip, Kaylin Denfip, Jacob Dylan Denfip, Jadelynn Denfip, Chase Denfip, Deshae Denfip and Kinsley Denfip.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Knuckles and Bro. Clyde Mize officiating. Burial to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
