Calvin Hall

              Mr. Calvin G. Hall, age 96, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, in Murray, Kentucky.

          Mr. Hall was born in Calloway County, Kentucky, on January 24, 1927, to the late Hobert G. Hall and Livie L. (Garland) Hall. Mr. Hall retired from Briggs and Stratton in Murray, was a farmer, and had previously worked at Tappan Manufacturing. He was a member of the New Concord Church of Christ.

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Hall, who died on April 3, 2001; four sisters, Olene Lee, Lucille Jeffers, Lois Hughes, and Lovada French; two brothers, Hobert Hall, Jr. and Robert Hall; as well as two grandsons, Bobby Mitchell and Jeremy Mitchell.

          Mr. Hall is survived by two daughters, Debbie Ernstberger and husband Mike of Murray, Kentucky and Christi Hall of Atlanta, Georgia; three sisters, Ernestine Beatty of Alabama, Geraline Humphreys of Georgia, and Lue McMeans of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Krysta Smith and husband Shane of Murray, Kentucky and Jon Ernstberger and wife Stacey of LaGrange, Georgia; as well as four great-grandchildren, London and Peyton Smith both of Murray, Kentucky, and Lucas and Andrew Ernstberger both of LaGrange, Georgia.

          A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H, Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Jon Ernstberger and Danny Herndon will officiate, and entombment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
