Mr. Carlos Ray Youngblood, age 92, of Murray, Kentucky died on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the Murray – Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Youngblood was born on October 15, 1925 in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late E.C. Youngblood and Alma Crider Youngblood. He was a World War II Army Veteran and the owner and operator of Youngblood Bros. Furniture Store in Mayfield and Youngblood's in Paducah. He was also a member of the University Church of Christ and a former deacon and elder for the 7th & College Street Church of Christ in Mayfield, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one son, Dennis Youngblood; five brothers, Leon Youngblood, Gay Youngblood, L.V. Youngblood, Burl Youngblood, and Joe Youngblood; as well as three sisters, Ollis Smith, Daisy Bell Mason, and Nell Hawkins.
Survivors include his spouse, Virginia Kendall Youngblood of Murray, Kentucky, they were married on August 15, 1944 in Graves County, Kentucky; one son, Richard Youngblood and wife Donna of Murray, Kentucky; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Youngblood of Springhill, Tennessee; one sister Imogene Riley of Mayfield, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Chris Youngblood and wife Beth of Brentwood, Tennessee, Jason Youngblood and wife Mandy of Murray, Kentucky, and Sarah Beth Glenn and husband Kevin of Springhill, Tennessee; as well as six great-grandchildren, Andrew Youngblood of Brentwood, Tennessee, Megan Youngblood of Brentwood, Tennessee, Kristen Youngblood of Murray, Kentucky, Cameron Youngblood of Murray, Kentucky, Emma Glenn of Springhill, Tennessee, and Anna Glenn of Springhill, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the University Church of Christ with burial following in the Highland Park Cemetery in Mayfield, Kentucky. Richard Youngblood and Andrew Youngblood will officiate. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., August 11, 2018 at the University Church of Christ.
