Mrs. Carol Jean Boswell

Mrs. Carol Jean Boswell, age 75, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at her home.

Mrs. Boswell was born on October 28, 1950, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Milford Hicks and Marcella (Maxey) Hicks. She was a homemaker and was a member of the New Providence Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, April Cothran; as well as her father-in-law, Roy Dupree Boswell.

Survivors include her husband, Roy D. Boswell, Jr. of Murray, Kentucky; two daughters, Kristol Skipper and husband Jason of Birmingham, Alabama and Misty Guthrie and husband Kenneth of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Linda Orten of Murray, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Tristan Peters and husband Jeremy, Madison Stults and husband Becker, Lily England and husband Justice, Abby Cothran, Kary Cothran, Preston Guthrie and wife Tory, Savannah Skipper, and Micah Guthrie; as well as two great grandchildren, Chrystal Peters and Emelia England.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Alan Martin and John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Hicks Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2026, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
