Carolyn Sue Bogard

         Mrs. Carolyn Sue Bogard, age 79, of Mayfield, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Mills Health & Rehab in Mayfield, Kentucky.

          Mrs. Bogard was born on October 6, 1943, in Barron Co., Kentucky to the late Joseph Matt Gibbons and Margaret (Lowe) Gibbons. Mrs. Bogard was a retired beautician and a member of the West Broadway Baptist Church in Mayfield, Kentucky.

          Survivors include her husband, Bro. James Paul Bogard of Mayfield, Kentucky; two daughters, Robyn Looper of Metropolis, Illinois, and Lisa Cox and husband Billy of Murray, Kentucky; one step son, Dale Bogard and wife Rhonda of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Darryl Gibbons of Lafayette, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Samantha Bowland and husband Aaron, Lyndsey Looper, Joe Ben Hendrick, Margaret Hendrick, Matt Hendrick, Gabe Clark and Quentin Cox; two step grandchildren, Tonya Morton and husband Justin and Jeff Bogard ; four great-grandchildren, Caroline Bowland, Harper Bowland, Hannah Hendrick and Faith Hendrick; as well as three step great grandchildren, Houston Billington, Hayden Morton, and Holden Morton.

          A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Bro. Glenn Cope officiating.  Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
