Carolyn Maxlow

Mrs. Carolyn Alton Maxlow, 78, of Murray, Kentucky died on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

Mrs. Maxlow was born in Paducah, Kentucky on September 8, 1937 to the late Ed Alton and Hazel (Heaton) Alton. Mrs. Maxlow retired from Mattel and was a member of the Mason Chapel Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Maxlow was preceded in death by one son, James Lee; one sister, Katherine Lax; and by two, brothers, James Alton and Bill Ed Alton.

Mrs. Maxlow is survived by her husband George E. Maxlow of Murray, Kentucky, to whom she married on September 6, 1975; one daughter, Nicole W. Maxlow Carnahan of Water Valley, Kentucky; five sons, Nathan Maxlow and wife Jana of Benton, Kentucky, Jeffrey Lee of Murphysboro, Tennessee, Gary Lee of Arkansas, Tracy Maxlow and wife Joni of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Kenneth Maxlow of Alabama; three sisters, Jean Woods of Murray, Kentucky, Shirley Morton and husband Ed of Murray, Kentucky and Betty Jo Shanklin of Alberque, New Mexico; ten grandchildren, Landon Hicks, Ben Carnahan, Hailey Carnahan, Zander Maxlow, Zoe Maxlow, Brennan Maxlow, Brad Maxlow, Chad Maxlow, Cody Maxlow and Jamie Sumners; five great grandchildren, Lyle Maxlow, Ava Maxlow, Ethan Maxlow, Adrian Maxlow and Alayna Maxlow.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Elijah Balentine officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
