Charlene Edna Hurley

Mrs. Charlene Edna Hurley, 60, of Benton, Kentucky died on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Hurley was born in Cook County, Illinois on February 15, 1953 to the late Steve Sawka and Flossie (Thomas) Sawka. Mrs. Hurley retired from General Motors as a crane operator and she was of the Lutheran faith.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Hurley was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Sawka.
Mrs. Hurley is survived by her husband, Charles D. Hurley, Sr. of Benton, Kentucky, to whom she married on October 11, 1980 in Cook County, Illinois; son, Dean S. Sawka, Sr. of Berwyn, Illinois; one step daughter, Stella Dambrosi and husband Michael of Klein, Texas; one step son, Charles D. Hurley, Jr. of Murray; two sisters, Josephine Cook and husband William of Hickory Hills, Illinois and Mary Hillman and husband Gregory of Chicago Ridge, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Victoria Sawka, Angelica Sawka, Anna Bella Sawka, Rebeka Sawka, Dean Sawka , Jr., Trish Ragan and Andrew Vescelius; as well as one great grandchild, Jala Ragan.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
