Charlene Lyons

Mrs. Charlene (Mitchuson) Lyons, age 89, of Murray, Kentucky died Friday, June 10, 2016 in Murray, Kentucky.
Mrs. Lyons was born in Trigg County, Kentucky on March 27, 1927 to the late Jimmie Mitchuson and Gracie (Cassity) Mitchuson. Mrs. Lyons retired from Fisher Price and later ran and operated The Country Jean Shop on Highway 94 East. Mrs. Lyons was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Eastern Star, Lodge #433.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Lyons was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" Lyons, who died on November 3, 1997; two sisters, Irene Compton and Betty Hunter; three brothers, Holly Mitchuson, Curbie Mitchuson and James Willie Mitchuson; sister-in-law, Mary Lee Mitchuson; brother-in-law, Robert Hunter.
Mrs. Lyons is survived by one brother, Billy Mitchuson and wife Sue of Benton, Kentucky; sister-in-law's, Sarah Edwards, Betty Dodd and Marjorie Lyons all of Murray, Kentucky; as well as several nieces and nephews, Steve Lyons and wife Sharon, Ricky Edwards and wife Jackie, Terry Mitchuson and wife Rhonda, Danny Mitchuson and wife Linda, Barry Brayboy and wife Regina, Junior Compton and wife Janice, Janie Underwood, Linda Bynum and husband Larry , Carolyn Thorn and husband Raymond, Becky Collins and husband Chris, Debbie Burchett and husband Mike and Denise Harrison and husband Barry.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Terry and Danny Mitchuson officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
