Mr. Charles W. Cooper age 87, of Murray, Kentucky, died Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Cooper was born December 24, 1928, in Forty Fort, Pennsylvania, to the late Fredrick W. Cooper and Margaret Georgyk Cooper. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Mr. Cooper retired from the Engineering Department of General Motors after thirty-five years of service. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, and was of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include, his wife Melva Ray Cooper of Murray, Kentucky. They married on July 25, 1981 in Michigan. Also surviving one daughter, Catherine Bauer and husband Harry of Troy, Michigan, two step daughters, Karen Harper and husband Clay of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Karla Veatch and husband Paul of Waterford, Michigan, three grandchildren, Jennifer Bauer, Jessica Brinker and Jill Bauer, six step grandchildren, Ben Harperr, Brandon Bell, Katelyn Harper, Sarah Grace Harper, Aaron Veatch and Loren Veatch, also four great grandchildren survive.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Randall Jones will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
Graveside services and burial will follow in Forty Fort, Pennsylvania.
