Mr. Charles Haley, age 81, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Alvin C. York V.A. Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Mr. Haley was born on December 27, 1937 to the late Carl and Lucille (Thorn) Haley. He was an Army Veteran and worked at Tappan and Haley Rental and Sales. He loved fishing and going to Florida in the winter months. Mr. Haley was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one grandson, Cole Salyer; and one sister, Ann Haley Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Hopkins Haley; they married on December 20, 1958 in Murray, Kentucky; two daughters, Tammy Haley Salyer and Laurie Haley Ross; two grandchildren, Carla Salyer, and Jason Ross; as well as five great-grandchildren, Christina Franklin, Jaelyn Ross, Kalen Salyer, Peyton Mitchell, and Jason Josiah Ross.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale and Steven Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
