Charles Humphreys

Mr. Charles H. Humphreys age 86, of Murray, Ky., died Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Henry Co. Health Care, in Paris, Tn.
Mr. Humphreys was born March 16, 1927 in Puryear, Tn., to the late Fisher and Vester Humphreys, also his adopted parents, Lube and Amy Brown. He was retired from the Chrysler Corporation as a Heat Treat Technician after 34 years of service. Mr. Humphreys was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Murray, and a Navy Veteran of the WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Delyghte Cooper Humphreys of Murray, Ky., they married July 25, 1948, in Murray, Ky., daughter, Laura Potts of Sterling Heights, Mich., son, Stephen Humphreys and wife Candace of Murray, Ky., also three grandchildren, Joshua Humphreys and wife Chelsea of Murray, Sarah Humphreys of Murray, and Dylan Potts of Sterling Heights, Mich.
In addition to his parents, and adoptive parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Chambers, two brothers, Joe and Winslow Humphreys.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2014, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Bro. Ed Smith will officiate, and burial will follow in the South Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
