Mr. Charles D. Johnson, age 89, of Murray, Kentucky, died Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Johnson was born in Calloway County Kentucky on September 7, 1925 to the late Tannie Johnson and Obera (Jones) Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a farmer and a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue (Hurt) Johnson; three sisters, Elizabeth Watson, Sue Outland and Betty Williams; and by three brothers, Jim Johnson, Joe Pat Johnson and Hugh "Shorty" Johnson.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughter, Melinda Feldman and husband Brian of St. Petersburg, Florida; one son, Mickey Johnson and wife Jody of Owensboro, Kentucky; one sister, Wilma Wiser and husband Ed of Murray, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Jennifer Williams and husband Michael of Murray, Kentucky, Mark Johnson and wife Mallory of Madisonville, Kentucky, Madilyn Feldman and Libby Feldman both of St. Petersburg, Florida; as well as three great grandchildren, Jack Williams and Jaye Williams both of Murray, Kentucky and June Johnson of Madisonville, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
