Charles "Papa" Jones

Mr. Charles "Papa" Wilford Jones, 87, of Murray, Kentucky died Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Jones was born in Kirksey, Kentucky on May 6, 1926 to the late Robert and Veda (Rose) Jones. Mr. Jones was a retired heavy equipment operator and carpenter. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie McLeod; three brothers, Robert Larkin Jones, Gilbert Jones and Bill Jones; and a sister, Norma Rose.
He is survived by three daughters, Barbara Lane and husband Michael of Benton, Kentucky ,Danita Houston of Murray and Susan Miller; five sons, Chuck Jones of Murray, Terry Jones of Florida, Rick Jones and wife Valarie of South Carolina, Jackey McLeod and wife Sandy of Murray, Jeff McLeod and wife Cheryl of Florida; three sisters, Mary Coursey and husband Buford of Murray, Sue Harris and husband Ralph of Murray and Anna Walters of Paducah; fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Sizemore officiating. Entombment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
