Charles Douglass Scott

Mr. Charles Douglass Scott age 57, of Murray, Ky., died Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Lourdes hospital in Paducah, Ky.

Mr. Scott was born Feb. 18, 1955 in Murray, Ky., to the late Luther Albert and Martha Skinner Scott. He was retired after 26 years of service from the City of Murray as a Firefighter, he was a member of the Higher Praise Worship center, and also served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Scott of Murray, they married June 26, 1982 in Murray, Ky., daughter, LaShanda Nicole Scott of Murray, son, Charles "Chuck" Jermaine Scott and wife Tara of Murray, sister, Carolyn Staggers and husband Jimmy of New Haven, Conn., two brothers, Donald Scott of Paducah, Ky., and Albert Scott of Texas, one grandchild, Meghan Jade Scott-Duncan of Murray, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Higher Praise Worship Center, Pastor Ed Clere will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at the church.
