Charles Russell Tutt, age 70, of Murray Kentucky, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at his home.
He was a retired Agronomist with the University of Kentucky Princeton Research Station after 45 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Murray serving as the Church Clerk and teacher of the Adam and Eve Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Murray Masonic Lodge 105 F & A M and the Gideon International Murray Chapter.
He was born March 2, 1941 in Detroit Michigan to the late Buell and Albie Theobald Tutt.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Downs Tutt with whom he was married October 20, 1974 in Princeton Kentucky; one son, Douglas Russell Tutt and wife Tina of Nashville, Tn, one daughter, Jeanie Carson and husband Larry of Kirksey Kentucky, two sisters, Wanda Tutt Rose and husband Billy of Benton Kentucky, Carolyn Tutt Danton and husband Bobby of Humble Texas, four grandchildren, Nathaniel Murray Tutt, Olivia Kathryn Tutt both of Nashville, Tn., Kili Carson Hanes, Laramie Carson both of Murray, Ky., also three great grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Murray, Dr. Greg Earwood and Rev. Boyd Smith will officiate with burial following in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, June 13, 2011 from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, and at the First Baptist Church from 9:00 A.M. till the Funeral hour on Tuesday.
