Cindy Grubbs

Mrs. Cindy Grubbs, age 67, of Benton, Kentucky died on Friday, April 19, 2019 at her home.
Mrs. Grubbs was born on March 11, 1952 in Murray, Kentucky. She was a Finance Officer for the Calloway County School District. Mrs. Grubbs earned a B.S., Masters, and Rank 1 Degree from Murray State University and was a member of the Calvert City Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Steele.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn A. Grubbs of Benton, Kentucky; they married on September 1, 2003 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; her mother, Lillian Suiter Steele of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Steve Steele and wife Kellie of Murray, Kentucky; one niece, Whitni Cobb; as well as two nephews, Brandon Steele and Wesley Steele. Cindy is also survived by special care-givers; Patty Walton, Shelia Walker, Wanda Whirley, Katie Morris, Marlene Whitley; special friends, Deann Barnett, Stephanie Wyatt, Nancy Lovett, Jan Pigg, and Terry Laster; as well as caring cooks and church family at Calvert City Church of Christ.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Calvert City Church of Christ with Lance Cordle officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., on Monday, April 22, 2019 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Calvert City Church of Christ prior to the memorial service.
