Cindy Ragsdale

Mrs. Cindy Ragsdale, age 70, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.

Mrs. Ragsdale was born on September 6, 1951, in Murray, Kentucky to the late D.T. "Buddy" Humphreys and Jenny Wren Coleman Humphreys. In 1977 she graduated Murray State University with a B.S. in social work. She retired as a social worker for the Murray-Calloway County Hospital and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Murray. Mrs. Ragsdale co-founded the Alzheimer's Support Group at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital and served on numerous boards and committees in the Murray and Calloway County area.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her auntie, Ora Lee Farris.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Ragsdale of Murray, Kentucky; they married on May 30, 1969, in Murray, Kentucky; two daughters, Jenny Ragsdale Bennett and husband Greg of Greenville, South Carolina and Robyn Ragsdale Powers and husband Todd of Paducah, Kentucky; one son, Matt Ragsdale and wife Susan of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Genevieve Adams of Murray, Kentucky; as well as five grandchildren, Andy Bennett of Greenville, South Carolina, Lauren Bennett of Greenville, South Carolina, Nora Powers of Paducah, Kentucky, Charlotte Ragsdale of Murray, Kentucky, and Levi Golden Ragsdale of Murray, Kentucky.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with John Dale and Rev. Boyd Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
