Mrs. Clara Bramley, 86, of Murray, Kentucky died Saturday, September 07, 2013 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Bramley was born on September 29, 1926 to the late William B. Jackson and Ora (Acree) Jackson in Murray, Kentucky. Mrs. Bramley was a retired agent for the Calloway County Extension office, a member of the Church of the Living God, was on the Mother's Board in the Church of the Living God, a member of the NAACP and a member of the Human Rights Commission.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bramley was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Bramley, who died in September 2003; a son, Jerry Bramley; three sisters, Elizabeth, Georgia, and Serena; as well as three brothers, Thomas, Jiles and Earl.
Mrs. Bramley is survived by three daughters, Doris Saunders of Murray; Michal Rebecah Bramley of Chicago, Illinois and Joyce Beasley and husband Jerome of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; four sons, Clarence Bramley and wife Karen of Cleveland, Ohio, Charles Bramley and wife Dana of Murray, Jimmy Bramley and wife Dawn of Murray and Harrel Bramley of Lexington, Kentucky; one brother, Wilton Jackson and wife Joan of Radcliff, Kentucky; as well as 25 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
