Clara Nell Furches

Clara Nelle Furches, age 95, passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the Murray Hospital. She was a kind and loving aunt, wife, sister, daughter, and friend to many people. Clara Nelle was a lifelong resident of Murray and a faithful member of Glendale Road Church of Christ. She had a long career working for TVA before retiring with 45 years of service. Clara Nelle enjoyed antique collecting, gardening, cooking, and needlework throughout her life.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Gail Turner, Tripp Furches, Lin Cunningham, Debi Suggs, Valerie Beckner, Holmes Ellis, Jr., and Harry Furches; her sisters-in-law, Geneva Cunningham and Elizabeth Furches; and cousins, Francis Roberts, Charles Coleman, Buddy Egner, Ted and Zane Cunningham.
Clara Nelle was preceded in death by her parents, Oakland and Grey Cunningham, brother, Harold Cunningham, Sr., and husband, Fred Furches.
Visitation will be at the J. H. Churchill Funeral Home on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow at the Murray City Cemetery.
