Mrs. Clara (Shoemaker) Stubblefield, age 83, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Friday, January 14, 2022, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray.
Mrs. Stubblefield was born in Hazel, Kentucky on February 19, 1938, to the late Ellis Shoemaker and Myrtie (Buchanan) Shoemaker. Mrs. Stubblefield was a member of the New Providence Church of Christ. Clara and husband Bobby C. owned and operated the New Providence Grocery for years in the New Providence community.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Stubblefield was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby C. Stubblefield; and by her sister, Marianna Stubblefield.
Mrs. Stubblefield is survived by one daughter, Conda Lesa Stubblefield Wilson and husband Ronnie; one son, Benny Stubblefield and wife Amy; one brother, Terry Shoemaker and wife JoAnn; brother-in-law Charles Edwin Stubblefield; sister-in-law Shirley Stubblefield Garrison and husband Paul Wayne, all of Murray, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Janna Stubblefield French and husband Brian of Paris, Tennessee, Justin Stubblefield and wife Alex of Murray, Kentucky, and Emily Wilson of Murray, Kentucky; three great-grandsons, Brody and Rip French of Paris, Tennessee, and Corbin Stubblefield of Murray, Kentucky; nephews, Chad Stubblefield and wife Jennifer, Mickey Garrison and wife Renee, of Murray, Kentucky, and Jeff Garrison and wife Julianne of Carmel, Indiana; niece, Tasha Gilliam and husband Marshall of Hazel, Kentucky; as well as two special little boys, Christopher and Grayson.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. John Dale will officiate, and burial will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
