Claude "Mitt" Miller

January 8, 1939 — July 10, 2014

Mr. Claude Milton "Mitt" Miller, died Thursday, July 10, 2014. He was born January 7, 1939, in Murray, Kentucky, to the late Modelle Hendrick Miller and Claude L. Miller. He was a graduate of Murray High School and Georgia Tech.
His first work experiences were as an engineer for Proctor and Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio, and The Coca Cola Company in Atlanta, Georgia. He later joined Pepsi Cola International in White Plains, New York, where he would spend the remainder of his career as an Engineering Consultant. His job took him all over the world,-to many areas not commonly visited at that time-and he loved to tell of his adventures in those exotic places.
Mitt loved Murray and returned after retirement. A man of many and varying talents, he was an accomplished woodworker well known for his beautiful cutting boards.
Survivors include his children: Steve Miller, MD (Jane), Memphis, Tennessee, Jeff Miller (Diane), Murray, Kentucky, and Kathy O'Neill (Steve) New Milford, Connecticut. Grandchildren: Kyle Fuller, Boston, Massachusetts, Hannah Miller and Adam Miller, Murray, Kentucky. Former wife, Margaret Wright Miller, Danbury, Connecticut. Brothers, Frank Miller (Pat), Lexington, Kentucky, David Miller (Meredith) and Cary Miller (Marilyn), Murray, Kentucky.

A gathering to celebrate the life of Claude "Mitt" Miller will take place at the Murray Country Club in Murray, Kentucky on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend.
