Conon "Bear" Shupe

Mr. Conon "Bear" Shupe, age 85, of Murray, Kentucky, died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Shupe was born April 6, 1931 in Fulton, Kentucky to the late Walter I. Shupe and Edna Norris Shupe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, and one brother.
Mr. Shupe was a retired switchman with BellSouth, Navy Veteran, and a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Todd Shupe of Murray, Kentucky, they married on January 20, 1952 in Corinth, Mississippi; two sons, Todd Shupe and wife Helen of Independence, Kentucky, and Tom Shupe and wife Debi of Christmas, Florida; five grandchildren, Amy Kerner and husband Mike of Edgewood, Kentucky, Maggie Duncan and husband Jared of Hazel, Kentucky, Ryon Shupe of Louisville, Kentucky, Charity Thomas of Christmas, Florida, and Jesse Thomas and wife Tonya of Leesburg, Florida; two great grandchildren, Ryan Thomas of Christmas, Florida, and Preston Thomas of Leesburg, Florida.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Poplar Spring Baptist Church, Rev. Rob Ison will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 from 11 a.m. till 1:00 p.m., at the Church.
