Mrs. Corrine D. Foster, 79, of Murray, Kentucky died Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Paducah Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky.
Mrs. Foster was born in Davidson County Tennessee on September 5, 1933 to the late Nathaniel Dunlap and Mamie (Frazier) Dunlap. Mrs. Foster was a retired elementary school teacher who taught at Puryear Elementary and was the owner and operator of Nicole's Beauty Shop in Hazel, Kentucky. Mrs. Foster was a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church; there she served as an usher and in the church choir. Mrs. Foster was also a member of the Murray Homemakers Society, the Murray Art Guild and the Quilters Association.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Issiac "Tump" Foster; a son in law, Charles "Charlie" Scott and by numerous brother and sisters.
Mrs. Foster in survived by one daughter, Sheila A. Scott of Murray; one son, Gary Pete Foster of Murray; one sister, Irene "Peter" McCoy of Nashville, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Lashanda N. Scott and fiance' Chris Duncan of Murray and Charles "Chuck" J. Scott and wife Tara Scott of Murray; one great grandchild, Meghan Jade Scott – Duncan of Murray; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
