Dale Willis

Mr. Dale H. Willis, age 66, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Sunday, September 03, 2017, at the Murray – Calloway County Hospital.

Mr. Willis, beloved son, husband, father and grandfather, was born in Washington Court House, Ohio, on March 4, 1951. Before retiring, Mr. Willis was the owner and operator of Willis Insurance Company in Murray, Kentucky and had been in the insurance business for over 40 years. Mr. Willis received his degree in Business Administration from Murray State University. While earning his degree, Mr. Willis played for the Murray State University football team from 1969 – 1973 and was the co-captain of the team his senior year. He remained an avid fan and supporter of the Murray State University athletic program in the years following his graduation.

Mr. Willis is preceded in death by his father, Richard R. Willis. He is survived by his wife, Paula Edwards Willis of Murray, Kentucky; mother, Gaynelle (Heath) Willis of Washington Court House, Ohio; one daughter, Amanda Dickerson and husband Austin of LaGrange, Kentucky; one son, Ben Willis of Fort Morgan, Alabama; one sister, Dawn Kuhn and husband Trigg of Marco Island, Florida; two brothers, David Willis and wife Barb of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Duke Willis and wife Kim of Washington Court House, Ohio; as well as three grandchildren, Harper Dickerson, Noah Willis and Roman Willis.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 9th, 2017 in the former Racer Room beneath Roy Stewart Stadium from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. located on Gilbert Graves Drive, Murray, KY 42071
